About Us

Introduction

Welcome to the Sacred Heart Parish Scholarship Program, offered by First Baptist Church of Okemos. We believe in the importance of education and are committed to supporting students in their pursuit of higher education. Through this scholarship program, we aim to provide financial assistance to deserving students within our community.

Our Mission

At First Baptist Church of Okemos, our mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in our community. We understand the importance of education as a stepping stone towards a brighter future, and through the Sacred Heart Parish Scholarship Program, we seek to empower students to reach their full potential.

Eligibility Criteria

The Sacred Heart Parish Scholarship Program is open to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a member of Sacred Heart Parish
  • Must be a graduating high school senior
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Must have demonstrated involvement in community service

Scholarship Benefits

Selected scholarship recipients will be awarded a monetary grant to assist them with their educational expenses. The amount of the scholarship may vary based on available funding and the number of qualified applicants. We understand the financial burden often associated with pursuing higher education, and our goal is to alleviate some of this burden through our scholarship program.

Application Process

To apply for the Sacred Heart Parish Scholarship Program, interested students must submit the following:

  1. Completed scholarship application form
  2. Official high school transcripts
  3. Two letters of recommendation
  4. A personal statement highlighting their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and future educational goals

The selection committee will review all applications and select recipients based on their academic performance, community involvement, and commitment to their educational journey. We encourage all eligible students to apply and take advantage of this opportunity.

Important Dates and Deadlines

It is important for interested students to be aware of the following dates and deadlines:

  • Application Availability: January 1st
  • Application Deadline: March 15th
  • Recipient Notification: April 30th
  • Scholarship Award Ceremony: May 15th
