About First Baptist Church of Okemos

Welcome to the Waters of Light Parishes - St Benedict of Waterford, a branch of the First Baptist Church of Okemos. We are a community and faith-based organization dedicated to spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ and making a positive impact in the Okemos area.

Our Mission

At Waters of Light Parishes - St Benedict of Waterford, our mission is to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals seeking spiritual growth, fellowship, and service opportunities. We strive to create a place where people can deepen their faith, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to the betterment of our community.

Beliefs and Practices

As a part of the First Baptist Church of Okemos, we hold firm to the core beliefs of Christianity. We believe in the Holy Trinity, salvation through Jesus Christ, and the power of prayer. Our worship services are centered around Biblical teachings, uplifting music, and heartfelt prayers.

Sunday Services

Join us every Sunday morning at 9:00 AM for our worship service. Our services are designed to inspire and encourage individuals in their faith journeys. We offer a blend of traditional and contemporary worship styles, providing a meaningful experience for all attendees.

Bible Study and Small Groups

We value the importance of studying and understanding the Word of God. Throughout the week, we offer various Bible study groups and small groups where individuals can come together to explore the Scriptures, share insights, and grow closer to God.

Community Outreach

At Waters of Light Parishes - St Benedict of Waterford, we believe in extending God's love and compassion to those in need. Through our community outreach initiatives, we actively engage with the local community, participating in charitable endeavors, volunteering, and supporting those facing challenges.

Upcoming Events

  • Easter Service: Join us on April 4th for a special Easter service celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • Community Picnic: On May 15th, we will be hosting a community picnic in the nearby park. Everyone is welcome!
  • Vacation Bible School: From June 21st to June 25th, we invite children ages 4-12 to join us for a fun-filled week of learning and adventure.
